President, Cathcart Property Management
Carolyn Busker serves as the President of Cathcart Property Management, where she oversees a portfolio exceeding $700 million. With over 35 years in real estate, Carolyn has managed various property types, from commercial to residential.
Before joining Cathcart in 2002, Carolyn held roles at Crescent Real Estate Equities and Transwestern Property Company. Her leadership has led Cathcart to establish a specialized division for association and investment property management, consistently surpassing leasing projections and earning industry recognition.
Carolyn Busker graduated with honors from Mary Baldwin College, earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications. She furthered her education by obtaining an MBA to deepen her expertise. In addition to her academic achievements, Carolyn holds certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Real Property Administrator (RPA), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence.
Active involvement in esteemed professional organizations like the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Community Association Institute (CAI) underscores Carolyn’s dedication to ongoing industry engagement.
As a licensed real estate broker, Carolyn ensures adherence to standards of compliance and excellence in all transactions. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she devotes time to charitable causes, demonstrating a strong commitment to making a positive impact within her community.
Donald Vogeley
Vice President, Cathcart Property Management
Donald Vogeley, Vice President of Cathcart Property Management, has been a member of the Cathcart team since 1999. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of luxury apartment communities and condominium Associations in Virginia and West Virginia. He also serves as a central resource for operations and new business development.
Prior to joining Cathcart Management, Mr. Vogeley worked for AvalonBay Communities in Richmond, where he was recognized with the Property Manager of the Year award. His real estate experience also includes successful pre-marketing and sales for an exclusive retirement community in Redding, CT. He holds a degree in sociology from Hartwick College and is licensed to sell real estate in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Cynthia Porter
Senior Manager, Cathcart Property Management
Cynthia Porter is a native of the Charlottesville area and has been with Cathcart since August of 2018, bringing over twenty years of experience working in Multi-Family in the Richmond and Charlottesville markets. Before coming to Cathcart, Cynthia worked at a Class A luxury community, which was in lease-up, and won Property Manager of the Year through BRAC. Cynthia has also served on the Blue Ridge Apartment Council Advisory Committee for three years.
Cynthia joined Cathcart in August of 2018 as a property manager for The Reserve at Belvedere. She was then promoted to Senior Property Manager in February 2019. She oversees three properties: The Reserve at Belvedere, The Reserve at Rivington, and The Gallery at Godwin, which opened in September 2023. Under her leadership, two properties have received the platinum award for CEL customer service: The Reserve at Belvedere in 2019 and The Reserve at Rivington in 2023. Cynthia’s primary role is opening and overseeing the management of new construction properties.
Kehris Snead
Senior Manager & Property Manager, Reserve At Stone Port
Kehris Snead joined the Cathcart team in 2015 and was promoted to Senior Property Manager in 2019. Kehris currently oversees the daily operations of Reserve at Stone Port in Harrisonburg, VA and is a resource for other property managers within the Cathcart portfolio. Prior to joining Cathcart, Kehris worked with Hammond Asset Management where she was involved in land acquisition, development, construction management, and retail management of 27 commercial properties throughout the Shenandoah Valley. During the last few years with HAM Kehris managed a luxury student community in Harrisonburg. During her property management career, she has received multiple accolades from VAMA, the local apartment association, to include Property of the Year; Clubhouse of the Year, Property Manager of the Year along with an award-winning staff from 2012-2019. Reserve at Stone Port was also voted Best Apartment Community by the Harrisonburg / Rockingham area residents.
As a native of the Shenandoah Valley, Kehris is very knowledgeable of the area. She previously held positions on the board for the local apartment association, served as a member of the Dayton Town Council while residing within the town’s limits and was a board member for the Montezuma Ruritans. Most recently, she held the PTO President position after holding the PTO Treasurer role for 3 years. Kehris has also earned the designation of Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) from the National Apartment Association. Her knowledge of the Harrisonburg market, coupled with her strong leadership skills, has been a key factor in the success of Cathcart’s first luxury community in the Harrisonburg market.
Ann Cathcart
Marketing Manager, Cathcart Property Management
Ann Cathcart joined Cathcart Property Management in 2023. Ann graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She had several internships throughout college, including sports marketing with UVa athletics, special events with Auburn University, a virtual internship during COVID with Under Armour, and, most recently, an internship with Cathcart Property Management. After graduation, she moved to Florida, where she obtained her real estate license and was hired by Coastal Realty as a Realtor and vacation rental manager. She also managed to work part-time as a divemaster. In 2022 Ann moved back to Charlottesville to be closer to family and could not be more excited to join the family business.
As the marketing manager, Ann oversees all marketing and advertising for Cathcart communities, which includes collateral, digital, websites, and social media. She plays an active marketing role in all new Cathcart developments, from start-up to stabilization. Ann also works to develop and execute comprehensive outreach marketing plans for new and existing properties.
Amanda Buyalous
Property Manager, Reserve At Daleville
In 2019, Amanda Buyalos joined the Cathcart team to spearhead the marketing and pre-leasing efforts for The Reserve at Daleville, Cathcart’s premier luxury apartment community in Daleville, VA. With 18 years of experience in Property Management, Amanda currently oversees the day-to-day operations of The Reserve at Daleville. Her previous role at Management Services Corporation involved managing 248 apartments, a single-family home, and a tract of land. Notable in her career is her service on boards for VAMA, the local apartment association, and the Fair Housing Board for Roanoke City. Currently in her second governor-appointed 4-year term on the VA State Fair Housing Board, Amanda holds the position of Vice Chair and is also a member of the Botetourt Chamber Foundation Board.
Having grown up in Daleville, Amanda brings invaluable knowledge of the area, its residents, and businesses. She actively fosters relationships with the small business community, evident in her co-creation of the Shop Botetourt Facebook page during the COVID pandemic. This initiative, aimed at providing free advertising for small businesses, led to the establishment of Botetourt County’s inaugural Restaurant Week, an annual event. Amanda’s leadership and commitment to stellar customer service have played a pivotal role in the success and strong support The Reserve at Daleville enjoys within the business community.
Adam Reeve
Property Manager, Lakeside Apartments
Adam Reeve joined the Cathcart Group in 2016 after 10 years in the multi-family property management field having managed 2 other communities in Charlottesville. Adam is responsible for ensuring the continued long-term success of the first property developed by the Cathcart Group in Charlottesville. Adam’s knowledge of the local real estate and rental landscape, strong leadership ability, and experience developing and managing budgets has enabled Lakeside to remain one of the top Apartment Communities in Charlottesville since 1995.
Adam graduated from The University of Virginia with a degree in Psychology and was born and raised in Charlottesville. He has received the designation of Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) from the National Apartment Association and is licensed to sell real estate in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Anthony Woodfolk
Property Manager, Reserve at Belvedere
Anthony Woodfolk joined Cathcart Property Management in 2015 as a leasing consultant at Lakeside Apartments. He transitioned to Assistant Property Manager in 2017, then Property Manager in 2022 at Reserve at Belvedere. In addition to his regular duties, Anthony has taken a very active role in marketing and produces the quarterly newsletter. Anthony also serves on the VAMA Board of Directors and Governance Committee and is the 2022 BRAC Committee Chair.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2012 at the University of Virginia. Before working at Cathcart, Anthony worked as a manager at the Inn at Little Washington, an esteemed 5-star/5 diamond hotel and restaurant in the Northern Virginia area. His background of working at such a high-level customer service level has helped him thrive in the world of property management and customer relations.
Tommea Thomas
Property Manager, Carriage Hill Apartments
Tommea Thomas joined Cathcart in 2015 as a leasing consultant at Carriage Hill Apartments. In 2017, she was promoted to Assistant Property Manager and received her NALP. In 2022, Tommea was promoted to Property Manager.
Prior to working at Carriage Hill, Tommea had customer-focused positions as a Career Services Director and an Assistant Healthcare Administrator. She is extremely passionate about providing exceptional customer service and creating a close-knit community between the renters and owners at Carriage Hill. Working with the residents and visitors is what Tommea looks forward to each day at Carriage Hill.
Kara Joslin
Property Manager, Gallery At Godwin
Kara Joslin serves as the Property Manager of The Gallery at Godwin, bringing with her nine years of residential experience upon joining Cathcart in 2023. Her background encompasses a diverse array of communities, including tax credit properties and lease-ups across Hampton Roads. Kara’s local roots in Isle of Wight County coupled with her focus on exceptional customer service, problem resolution, and financial management have earned her accolades such as the Assistant Property Manager of the Year award from HRAC in October 2021.
With a hands-on approach, Kara is deeply involved in all aspects of property management, from lease-up construction and inspections to collections, marketing, and staff training. Her dedication ensures The Gallery at Godwin operates smoothly and residents receive the support they need without unnecessary embellishment.
Carrie Rose
Property Manager, Reserve at Rivington
Carrie Rose brings over two decades of experience in property management to her role at Cathcart Property Management, having recently joined the team in 2024. Her expertise was honed during her tenure as a Senior Property Manager at Quadrangle Development Corporation in Washington, DC, where she meticulously oversaw the operations of numerous luxury high-rise apartment complexes. Carrie’s exceptional leadership and dedication to excellence have been recognized through multiple accolades, including prestigious CEL & Associates awards for Excellence in Customer Service. She has played integral roles in various aspects of property management, from orchestrating apartment renovation projects to facilitating successful lease-ups for several residential buildings, showcasing her adeptness at navigating the complexities of the industry.
